Hello lovelies! Thank goodness for Natalie’s Sunday Sevens or I would have no posts at all, since my sewing is at a temporary standstill! Pop on in to her site to see what it’s all about, it’s fun and maybe you’ll want to join in.
We have been having a grand time showing my mom the sites of Rochester and surrounds. We’ve had guests, and our excursions involve lots of food, shopping, and sightseeing. And walking….she grabs her walker and off we go up and down the street to enjoy the local color.
So here we go with a few pics. Of course there will be trees and clouds, as I just can’t seem to get enough of them.
Strolling Along….
This orange tree up the street had mama walking at a good clip to see it up close and personal.
This is apple country
We were hoping to find some russet apples at Schutt’s Apple Mill, but they won’t be ready for another two weeks, after mom’s visit is over.
Amish Farm Market
We travelled to Penn Yan, where there is a most marvelous farm and craft market, The Windmill. Mom found a beautiful scarf for my sister, and we found (and purchased) more baked goods than any three reasonable people require.
And hubby bought these….do you know what they are?
Bread ties!
Lovely day, but time to head home….
Teaser
My sewing plans are on hold for now, but this skirt has all seams and godets sewn, and waistband is basted on. Finished project post is still some way off, so I promise to post a brief update soon…
That’s all folks! Have a great week, and happy stitching!
