Photo Challenge – Button

Button, button, who’s got the button?

This week’s Photo Challenge is BUTTON. Like many others, I am rather obsessed with buttons, especially those of the vintage variety. And more specifically, the vintage buttons from my mother’s collection.

However, lately I have acquired a different button obsession. Our old house constantly requires attention. One of the continual little projects has been updating the shabby (or  modernized) button light switches. We’ve acquired quite the variety of light switch covers. Such as….

switches with 2 buttons,

6-button switches,

and an especially interesting one (albeit a blurry photo) with 2 buttons and a twisty knob!

Pleased to be linking up with the 52 Week Photo Challenge again after missing several weeks, and thanks to its creators:

Cathy from Nanacathydotcom

Jane from Rainbowjunkiecorner

Melissa from The Aran Artisan

Sandra from Wild Daffodil

  1. Fab buttons, one & all!
Question on the light-switch variety ~ Did you have to rewire the house, and these became un-usable?
My apologies! The frustrated DIYer comes out sometimes. 😉
(Got that ickle packet yet? Hope you can use & enjoy!) xx

  3. Both of your types of button projects are pretty cool. Wish I’d kept some of Mom’s and Grandma’s buttons. My Grandma saved everything and would be rolling over in her grave right now knowing all that I get rid of. 🙂 (And I’m a bit of a pack rat.:))
