This week’s photo challenge prompt is PATH. I’ve long fancied a path in my backyard leading to a garden, or perhaps a deck.
The home we bought two years ago has a path in the tiny backyard – quite possibly the most useless path ever built. It begins in the middle of the yard about 30 feet from the house, is about 4 feet long, and leads to a diamond, ending about 6 feet from the back fence. It looks rather like an arrow pointing to nowhere! Perhaps the former owner envisioned a shady secret garden effect…
After letting the garden “be itself” last summer our plan is now to uproot the most of the unruly vegetation, carry the path to a new raised flower or vegetable bed at the fence, fill in the sparse lawn, and reuse the patio pavers to build a small deck at the back door.
A much nicer path is shown in the feature image, taken during a lovely stroll along the Brecon Canal.
